Studio and Entrepreneurship, Week 8, Digital Tool.

I have chosen to produce a presentation for Tilt VR. The collaborative art add-on for Tilt Brush by Google.
The presentation is a series of slides and goes through some brief facts about the Virtual Reality industry, what Tilt Brush is and what Tilt VR can bring to the table.

As I obviously can’t code this programme and nothing like it is really available I found it really hard to research. I did however come to the conclusion that Tilt Brush is already a super robust programme with so many moving parts. The only thing it’s lacking is real time multiplayer engagement. Which in hind sight, would be super hard to implement. How do two or more people work on the same piece of 3d art without getting in each others way? The easiest conclusion is that they just simply don’t work on it at the same time. One artist does their bit, saves the file, another artist opens it up, see’s exactly what was done, makes edits, saves it etc. Guess what, you can already do this in Tiltbrush. No need for any super fancy multiplayer. It’s exactly what Deborah Tartaruga Feliz to create her ‘Friends in Virtual Reality’ project.

So, hindsight being what it is, I’d love to go back and give this one another go. Alas, my job in the US and having to travel back home really messed up my design and organisation head. I understand that this is no where near as robust a project as It could have been.
